Knee, Hip and Spine Centers

The Hess Medical Plan will pay a higher benefit (90 percent in-network coverage after deductible; you pay 10 percent) if you go to an Anthem Blue Distinction Center for knee, hip and spine procedures. Blue Distinction Centers are higher quality, lower cost facilities that save money for you and Hess.

Health Management Programs

 

Digital Diabetes and Hypertension Management

Livongo offers digital diabetes and hypertension management that helps those with diabetes or prediabetes control their blood sugar levels, manage hypertension and help prevent future health complications.

  • The diabetes management program includes diabetes education, access to expert coaches, unlimited strips and lancets and an advanced blood glucose meter.
  • Diabetes prevention starts with reducing the A1c level through nutrition, exercise and weight management. Lowering your A1c can improve your health and help lower your risk of being diagnosed with diabetes.
  • If you have high blood pressure, you may want to consider the hypertension program offered through Livongo. If you enroll, you’ll receive a free blood pressure monitor and you’ll have access to digital health coaching with personalized support.

If you’re enrolled in the Hess Medical Plan, this program is free for you and your enrolled dependents age 18 and up.

Digital Physical Therapy

Hinge Health offers guided digital physical therapy exercises and education for musculoskeletal conditions (like chronic low back, muscle and joint pain). The Hinge Health program includes education, exercise therapy, behavioral health support and access to a personal health coach.

Programs are also available for:

  • Chronic pain management
  • Injury recovery
  • Women’s pelvic health
  • Preventive care
  • Surgery care
  • Expert medical review

Fertility Management

This fertility management program provides support if you’re facing struggles building the family you want.

WINFertility’s Fertility Support Program offers:

  • 24/7 access to specially trained nurse care managers
  • Help selecting the right doctor for your needs within Anthem’s network
  • Information about testing, types of infertility, treatment methods and medication options
  • Authorizations, care recommendations, pharmacy assistance and specialist referrals
Who Can Use This Program?

If you’re enrolled in the Hess Medical Plan, this program is free for you and your enrolled spouse or domestic partner. As of January 1, 2024, WINFertility manages the Adoption Assistance Program and the Surrogacy Support Program. These programs are available for all Hess U.S. employees, regardless of medical enrollment.

  • Finding primary and specialty providers with LGBTQ+ experience
  • Counseling for behavioral health and emotional well-being
  • Obtaining support for workplace inclusion
  • Locating HIV/AIDS treatment and PrEP medication
  • Obtaining information about sex reassignment surgery and benefits
  • Providing ways to support a family member or friend who is LGBTQ+
